A public page is your space's front door for people who aren't members yet: a page at getjoyn.io/c/your-address that anyone can open without signing in. It shows your space's name, picture, cover, description, location, number of members and your public events. It never shows who your members are.
You need the Manage space permission to set it up.
Turn it on
- Open Settings and go to Edit space. On the mobile app, tap Public page in Edit space.
- Under Public page, switch on Visible to anyone.
- Check the Address. Every space gets one made from its name, and you can change it to anything that is free, using lowercase letters, digits and hyphens.
- Click Save changes.
Once it's saved, use Copy link or View page to share it or see it as visitors do. On the mobile app, tap Share page link.
Changing the address later breaks links you have already shared, so pick one you can keep.
Fill it in
The top of the page comes from Edit space: the name, the Description, the Where field and the cover and picture. The preview next to the fields shows how it will look.
Your events on the page
Every event with Public event switched on is listed under Upcoming events, including events in your groups. Members-only events never show. See Make an event public.
Let people join
Switch on Anyone can join to put a Join space button on the page. Visitors sign up or sign in, and join with one tap. They count toward your plan's limits like anyone who joins with an invitation.
With it off, the page only shows your space, and joining still takes an invitation. See Invite people to your space.
Being found in search
On paid plans, search engines like Google can list your page and its public events. On the Free plan the page works for anyone with the link, but search engines don't list it. See Plans and billing.
Turn it off
Switch off Visible to anyone and save. The page stops working straight away, and the same address comes back if you turn it on again.
