d. Guests at Public Events

An organizer can make an event public, so that people without a Joyn account can register for it. When you register as a guest, we collect:

Your name and email address
Which dates of the event you registered for, and any later change to your answer

We keep these as a Joyn account that is not activated: it has no password and no one can sign in to it until you choose to join Joyn with the same email address. We do not add you to the organizer's space or groups, and we do not send you anything beyond the emails about the events you registered for.

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including:

To provide, maintain, and improve our Service: Ensuring that our Service functions properly and is accessible to you.
To manage your account: Processing your registration and managing your user profile.
To facilitate event creation and participation: Allowing you to create, join, and manage events within your organization.
To run public events: Holding your place when you register as a guest, and emailing you a confirmation with a calendar invite, a private link to change or cancel your answer, and reminders, changes or cancellations for that event.
To protect the Service: Using your IP address and similar signals to limit repeated requests and keep out automated sign-ups and registrations.
To communicate with you: Sending you updates, notifications, and other information related to your account and usage of our Service.
To personalize your experience: Tailoring the content and features of the Service to match your preferences and interests.
To improve our Service: Analyzing usage data and feedback to improve our offerings.
To comply with legal obligations: Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information with:

Your organization: Certain data may be shared with your employer or organization for the purpose of managing events and participation within the Service.
Event organizers: When you register for a public event as a guest, members of the space hosting it can see your name in the event's list of people, and the people who manage the event can also see your email address.
Legal and regulatory authorities: When required to comply with legal obligations or to protect the rights, property, or safety of JOYN, our users, or others.

🌍 4. Public Pages

A space can turn on a public page. When it does, its name, description, location, picture, cover, number of members and its public events can be seen by anyone, without signing in. On paid plans, search engines may also list the page and its events. A public page never shows who the members of the space are.

Public events show their name, description, time, place, the names and pictures of up to three hosts, and how many people are going. They never show the names of the people who registered.

We implement a variety of security measures to protect your personal information. These measures include encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

✋ 6. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
