Get everyone in, not just the group chat

Moving a community only works if people actually come along. Share one link where you already talk, put a poster up for everyone who doesn't read the chat, and email the few you want by name.

How it works

Three ways in, one space

  1. 01

    Share your link

Every space has an invite link that never expires. Drop it in the group chat, the newsletter or the next email to parents.

  2. 02

    Put up a poster

Print an A4 poster with your name and a QR code for the clubhouse, the fridge or the noticeboard. People scan it with their camera.

  3. 03

    See who came in

Each link counts how many joined through it, so you know whether the poster or the newsletter did the work.

πŸ“Œ

QR posters

A poster for the clubhouse

Most of your members walk past the noticeboard more often than they read the group chat. Print a poster with your name and a QR code, and anyone who scans it can join.

  • βœ“

An A4 poster ready to print, fine on any office printer

  • βœ“

In Danish or English, for the people who will read it

  • βœ“

The short link printed under the code, for anyone without a camera

  • βœ“

Download just the code for flyers, slides and the newsletter

  • βœ“

Show the code full screen on your phone at the next meeting

  • βœ“

No app needed, it works in any browser

  • βœ“

Short codes like K7QM2XPA, easy to type off a poster

  • βœ“

Already a member? The link just opens the space

  • βœ“

Everything else

The details that make it easy

♾️

A link that never expires

The default link keeps working, so the one in last year's newsletter still gets people in.

πŸ”

Reprint whenever you like

A poster's code stays the same until you revoke its link, so a fresh copy works next to the old ones.

β˜•

Holds up on the noticeboard

The code still scans with scuffs or a coffee stain, and needs no colour printer.

πŸ“§

Email without doubles

Paste a list of addresses. Anyone already invited gets a reminder, members are skipped.

πŸ™‹

Members can invite too

Let everyone share the link, or keep inviting with the board. One switch under permissions.

🌍

Or open the door

With a public page, newcomers can join in one tap without any invitation at all.

πŸ‘₯

Who it's for

For communities that meet in person

⚽

Clubs

A poster in the clubhouse and the changing room, and a link in the parents' group chat.

β›ͺ

Churches

A code on the noticeboard and the newsletter, so newcomers after the service can join.

🀝

Associations

A link in the members' email and a poster for the general meeting.

🀝

Good to know

What Joyn doesn't do

Better to know now than after the posters are up.

!

No approval step.

Anyone with a link or a poster's code can join. If a link ends up somewhere it shouldn't, revoke or reset it and print the new one.

!

No member list import.

Joyn doesn't import a register. Share the link, or paste up to 25 email addresses at a time.

Questions about inviting members

Do people need the app to join?

+

No. The link and the QR code open a page in any browser, where they sign up and join. They can get the iOS or Android app afterwards if they like.

Does the poster ever stop working?

+

Not unless you want it to. The default link never expires. Named links can have an expiry or a use limit, and any link can be revoked, which stops every poster printed with it.

What if our link gets shared too widely?

+

Reset the default link in settings. The old link stops working straight away and the space gets a new one. Print a new poster with it.

Can I see who joined from the poster?

+

You see how many joined with each link. Make a link per poster and give it a name, and the counts tell you which one worked.

Can members invite people, or only the board?

+

By default every member can share the link and invite by email. Turn Create invitations off for members under permissions if only the board should invite.

Is it free?

+

Inviting is part of every plan, including Free for up to 100 members. Bigger communities pay per person on Team or one flat price on Community.

Bring everyone along

Create your space, share the link in the group chat and put the poster up tonight. Most communities are in by the weekend.
