Run a recurring check-in

Ask the same question every week or month, give people a window to answer, and see the answers in one place.

Last updated September 28, 2026

A Check-ins channel asks a question on a schedule and collects the answers. "What are you working on this week?", "Who is available for Sunday?", "How did training go?" - anything you would otherwise ask by hand every time.

Create a check-in

  1. Create a channel with the type Check-ins, or open one that exists. See Channel types explained.
  2. Click Ask a recurring check-in question… and write the Question. The placeholder suggests What did you work on today?
  3. Choose Every and then Week or Month, and set Repeat until if the check-in should stop on its own.
  4. Set how many minutes to answer after each check-in opens. That is the Answer window. After it closes the occurrence is marked Closed and late answers are not accepted.
  5. Save it.

Answering

When a check-in opens, everyone in the channel gets a push notification: It's time to check in. Open the channel, find the occurrence marked Pending and click Write your answer…. Once you have answered it shows as Answered.

Reading the answers

Each occurrence is a card. Open it to see every answer in one panel, and who has not replied yet.

Change or stop it

Hover the check-in for its menu:

  • Edit check-in - change the question, schedule or answer window. Future occurrences use the new settings.
  • Stop check-in - no more occurrences are created. Past ones and their answers stay.
  • Delete this occurrence - remove a single occurrence, for a week that was cancelled.
